Initial Blog Post! Welcome to the Wolf + Lamb Music Blog

Wolf + Lamb are two electronic music artists/DJ’s from Brooklyn NY. They also both release music under their own names Gadi Mizrahi and Zev Eisenberg. They are label owners as well as successful party throwers from their famous home base venue and home “The Marcy Hotel.” The music they create is non commercial dance music. Their market is very niche market. They have a very particular sound which is a mixture of deep house, minimal techno, disco and pop re-edits. Their music can be described as weird, funky, dark and sexy but has the opportunity to appeal to a much wider audience with their pop- edit’s they have been putting out which have included remixing Michael Jackson, MGMT, and Fleetwood Mac to name a few. The sound of the label is very unique when compared to other dance labels and they are definitely becoming trend setters. Wolf + Lamb’s market is definitely product driven where the focus is on their music. They have help built and showcase their music by throwing parties every summer at the Burning Man festival with large LED light art installations. They also have been able to showcase their music from their acclaimed home/loft/party venue the Marcy Hotel where they have some of the best dance parties in the US that sometimes will go on for over a day. Wolf + Lamb showcase their sound through DJing where they have played countless sunrise sets to afterhours crowds who seek to go on a unique musical journey of weird and sexy music. They showcase many of their DJ sets through their website podcast which will also be linked on this blog.
The buyer persona that Wolf + Lamb serves to is male and females ages 18- 35 who want something outside the norm. Their music appeals to people who like to be different and not follow mainstream trends. Their main market for sales is in Europe since this is where dance music is more widely accepted than anywhere else in the world. Listeners of Wolf + Lamb can buy their music digitally through their website (http://www.wolflambmusic.com/) or through digital stores like Itunes and Beatport which is the largest outlet for digitally purchasing electronic music. One thing that is unique about Wolf + Lamb is they print their music on Vinyl as well so it is very DJ friendly and caters to that niche market of people who like to collect or play vinyl records.
