New release out on 12" for Wolf + Lamb Records

US imprint Wolf + Lamb has risen to prominence because they are unafraid to bring the tasteful funk sounds of the early 2000s back to the dance floor. The label's tenth release comes from Maayan Nidam, the former Miss Fitz and mostly explores jazzy downtempo except on the leadoff cut, "Isitin", which is a fairly standard deep house track. The detour is unexpected and may catch some fans of the label off guard with a retro sound that cleaves to the old Guidance Recordings template, and can only be recommended for those who miss or missed out on that particular scene.
